Description: Assuming the role of a trustee involves significant responsibilities and complexities. This 60-minute presentation, ‘I’ve Been Named as Trustee… Now What?’, will provide attendees with a clear understanding of different types of trusts, including simple, complex, grantor, revocable, and irrevocable trusts, as well as intentionally defective grantor trusts (IDGTs). Attendees will also learn essential trust terms such as Distributable Net Income (DNI), income beneficiary, remainder beneficiary, and more. Finally, we’ll cover crucial precautions every trustee should be aware of to manage trusts effectively and avoid common mistakes. This session is designed to prepare you comprehensively for your duties as a trustee.
